My back door leads out to the pool area which is about 30 degrees warmer than my room (but the water is pretty chilly!)

This is a mural dating from 1757 that is in the old chapel. A group of archeologists is working on the grounds and one restoration expert is working on documenting the mural in anticipation of one day restoring itl.

Part of the grounds. The 1743 French-Spanish geodesic expedition stayed here and plotted the path of the equator through the grounds of the hacienda.

The areas where guests stay is part of a hug quadrangle with all of the rooms surrounding a central open courtyard with a well in the middle.
