We hiked about 4 kms back into town after the truck dropped us off. Looking for birds ! Theo brought his bird book along to look up the birds that we saw. Here he discusses his info with our guide. At 6 am the landscape was rich and beautiful with clouds resting all around the mountains This green parrot is a lession in camoflage. This Rufus Mot Mot was big and spectacularly colored. We got close enough so that I could snap a picture with my digital camera. We saw seven different Toucans, each a different species or color.
