This is Tranquilino. He was our guide and mentor while we were in Limay and the leader of Casa Baltimore/Limay in the village. He was amazing. Through all the walking around the town, riding in the back of pick-up trucks and hiking through the jungle in the rain, his clothes never seemed to be mussed, his hat always stayed on.

Tranquilino talked so powerfully about the country, his village, and his hopes for the future.Three of his sons were killed by the Contras during the war.
