Volcan Masaya
Our first full day in Nicaragua we hired a van to take us to one of the most famous active volcanoes in Nicaragua. Since 1524 it has erupted at least 19 times. It is still sending sulphorous smoke into the air and has the aura of something dangerous and quite alive.
