	Our visit to Granada was actually confined to The Alhambra, which is the last bastion of the 700-year Moorish occupation of Spain. The Alhambra covers a hilltop above the city of Granada, with the military fort at the front (shown here), and palaces and city stretched out behind ancient walls. Ferdinand and Isabella drove the last Moorish Caliph in Spain from here in 1492.
