	We spent one morning in the ruins of this Roman city. It was a beautiful site, on gently rolling hills. Emperors Trajan and Hadrian were born in Italica, which was a thriving city for hundreds of years. It has been under excavation, on and off, since around 1800. This theatre was the third largest in the Roman Empire.
