	The city was designed and built on a strict grid. The areas that have been most extensively excavated, with foundations of buildings and mosaic floors all exposed, are in the distance here. The curbstones to the streets are the easiest to find, though, so the street pattern has been exposed for many acres around. The whole city had running water, sewer, paved streets and sidewalks - every home comfort.
