Parties
We went to a party at a house in Managua, called the Ben Linder House, named after a young man who came to work with the people in Nicaragua and was killed by the Contras. At the party were folks who had supported the Nicaraguan liberation for the past twenty
six years. There were people from all over the world who had come to this country, many who stayed to live, to help the people of Nicaragua. This singer,
Philip Montalban, played at the Celebration of the Revolution in the main plaza. Nancy, a member of our group who played the flute, played with him at this party and then was invited to play with his group in the plaza. We left Managua the day after the celebration for Esteli.
