| The village church about a 10 minute walk from our house. The church had been in continuous use for about a thousand years. Sadly, when we went to mass there, there were only about twenty people in attendance, all of whom were at least sixty years old. We talked to the preist afterwards and he was lamenting that young people in Spain simply don;t go to church. So the hundreds of such churches in Galicia may fade from use as these old people die. |
